The Pan American Health Organization, Regional Office of the World Health Organization, organizes, together with the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food of Guatemala, the 12th Meeting of Directors of National Programs of Rabies of Latin America (REDIPRA 12), foreseen for the November, 30th to December, 2nd, 2008 at Antigua Guatemala.
REDIPRA 12 will analyze the strategies and actions in order to complete the elimination of human rabies transmitted by dogs; the certification of this condition in the countries that reached the objective; the intersectoral addressing of surveillance and prevention of rabies transmitted through wildlife and the strengthening of the networks of cooperation for control of the zoonosis.
